he B rate SF movie I vaguely recalled last time is called *The Twonky*
(1953) directed by Arch Oboler. Supposedly about a TV set which is
possesed by a spiit from the future who wans to take charge of is owners
life.
 
Another good TV/weird film is *Videodrome* (1983) directed by David
Cronenberg.
