Why is it that almost none of the books on German cinema mention Rudolph
Arnheim, with the exception of Petro, Corrigan's first (?) book on
German cinema, and Rentschler's anthology on film and lit?
It would seem appropriate that Arnheim's aesthetics come under discussion,
yet authors seem to mention only Brecht, on the one hand, and then
Kracauer on the other.
Also, what's happened to this list? Has the energy gone to the POPCULT
list, or some such?
Harriet
