I have an Image Entertainment LD in hand called "Pop goes the comic"
(although the title on the film itself is "Pop goes the cork") It is a
collection of excerpts from Linder's 3 American films, with a brief
biographical introduction and a 1983 copyright date superimposed on the
title screen. It was produced by Maud Linder, and has a title note that
says "Specially presented by Rene Clair".

To me it sounds like what I have read about the first collection that
Maud Linder put together in 1963, which she called "En Compagnie de Max
Linder/Laugh with Max Linder". It had an introduction by Clair. I haven't
seen that film though, and am hoping that someone else may have.

Has anyone seen either of these? I'm trying to catalog this for our
library, and it would be nice to note it, if they are the same. The Image
LD was released about the same time as Maud Linder's documentary, and I
wondered if it was a re-packaging of the older film.
