You are receiving this email because you have an interest in the playlists
for All Things Acoustic on Alabama Public Radio.
*And I will continue to distribute my playlists through this service.*
However, I have started a new newsletter for the radio program and some of
the subscribers to this list may prefer it over the usual, barebones
playlist emails.
Here's how I've been announcing it to the public...

Subject: NEW All Things Acoustic Newsletter!
Hello, family and friends!
*Would you like to learn more about the radio show I host--including how to
tune into recordings of it anytime of the day or night?*
I've just launched the *All Things Acoustic Newsletter*--a low-traffic
email newsletter containing announcements of recordings available for
streaming and lists of the songs I've played.
*There will be no charge for it and it will not contain ads. If you
subcribe, your email address will never be sold.*
The *Newsletter* runs on the Substack platform. You are *not* required to
have a Substack account to access it, although you may choose to do so.
The subscription form is here:
https://allthingsacoustic.org/playlistSubscription.php
After providing your email address, you should receive a subscription
notification and then start receiving *All Things Acoustic Newsletter* emails
soon after that. If you don't see any new emails by Saturday, 4/5, check
your spam folder and "Update / Promotions / Forums " (in Gmail) tabs.
Why use Substack?
I had a previous ATA newsletter running on a cumbersome email server called
Mailman, which was state-of-the-art around 1995. The more robust Substack
platform will:
- Make it easier to subscribe and unsubscribe from the
*Newsletter*--including
single-click unsubscribing
- Automatically collect all the emails into an archive which is publicly
available over here <https://jercommusic.substack.com/archive>.
- Facilitate more attractively formatted emails
- Be free to use, unlike other email services such as MailChimp; this
allows me to continue providing the playlist for free and without ads
(which other free services insert into emails)
What will be in the *All Things Acoustic Newsletter*?
*I anticipate two emails per week*:
1. Reminders of upcoming broadcasts
2. Announcements of recorded shows being available for streaming, along
with their playlists
I hope you'll find the *All Things Acoustic Newsletter* inbox-worthy! Let
me know if you have any issues with it.
Yours in acousticity,
Jeremy Butler
