Forget "Star Bores" & "Rotting Hill" with its pseudo movie star playing a movie star. The best film now around is a 50 year old black and white movie with a lot of dead actors in it. I'm of course refering to Carol Reed's masterwork "The Third Man" which is now playing in New York City to packed houses. And what a great film it is. Beautifully shot by Robert Krasker (who won the films only Oscar) in blasted bombed out Vienna, the film is packed with one great scene after another and has one of the greatest endings that ever ended a film. I hope that everyone gets a chance to see this wonderful film on the big screen.
