Franca Lachenay goes to collect her husband's photos, finding compromising pictures of him and Nicole. As she walks from the photo shop, she drops the photos and an obnoxious guy tries to proposition her. She goes ballistic, asking him if he thinks he is God's gift to women and forcing him to take a good look at himself in a store mirror. She then goes home and removes a shotgun from her closet and loads it with two shells. Meanwhile Pierre is in the Val d'Sere cafe where he calls his friends and they advise him to reconclie immediately with his wife. He agrees but a long-winded woman gets to the phone first. When she finally vacates the phone, he just misses his wife who has hidden the shotgun in a raincoat and left the house. Pierre goes back to his cafe table, fiddles with his cigarettes, and begins reading the newspaper. Franca drives her Mini Morris through the streets and arrives outside the restaurant. She removes the shotgun from the back seat, looks through the restaurant window and spies Pierre. Calmly she enters the restaurant, walks to Pierre's table. He recognizes her and stands. She throws the photos at him, then raises the shotgun and shoots him. All the other customers jump up. Then Franca sits down on the floor and smiles sadly.
