SAN FRANCISCO PUNK BANDS TRIBE 8 & PANSY DIVISION TO PERFORM AT KNITTING FACTORY PARTY FOR MIX/THE 11TH NEW YORK LESBIAN & GAY EXPERIMENTAL FILM/VIDEO FESTIVAL, PRESENTED BY ABSOLUT VODKA MIX presents West Coast Punk Legends TRIBE 8 & Pansy Division in MUSIC/VIDEO, the festival's closing night event. This multimedia celebration of the bonds between Lesbian&Gay music and visual art will take place Sunday, November 16 from 8pm-midnight, at The Knitting Factory (74 Leonard St., TriBeCa). Many Lesbian&Gay filmmakers began their careers in the world of punk music, and it continues to be one of the most exciting genres at the MIX festival. The Closing Night event will begin with screenings of punk video work by Lucy Thane and highlights from the world of queer music/video. The legendary all-girl band TRIBE 8 will then take the stage, kicking off an East Coast tour, new album and video. They will be followed at this historic event by their brothers in charms, Pansy Division, who first gained mainstream attention as the opening band for a national tour by punk superstars, Green Day.
