I would appreciate any help in locating a c. 1926 film entitled GORILLA HUNT. It was initially filmed as a travelogue/documentary (a la the "Johnsons") about the capturing of young gorillas in the then Belgian Congo, but scenes were later added to jazz it up or possibly to make it into a semi-narrative. It played in Times Square in 1926 for at least a month and was distributed by Joseph Kennedy and FBO. It apparently also played in England and possibly throughout Europe. The Kennedy personal copy was destoyed in a fire, but other 35mm prints may exist either in the U.S. or overseas. It may also have survived in 16mm format either in some non-film archive as an untitled part of early studies of young gorilla behavior, etc. or in the collection of a private colelctor of sci-fi or related "horror" films. We are looking for it in any format, film or video, and/or any paper such as posters, reviews or press coverage. Any informtion or leads on sources of eithr the film or material conneected to it would be gretly appreciated. You may e-mail me directly at: [log in to unmask] Thanks in advance, William E.
