A thought: You may want to consider a broad-minded disability studies angle when theorizing your work. Some films with aging as outright or subtextual subject: Ma Saison Preferee--french film just out starring Catherine Deneuve as "declining" (according to the notes for Ann Arbor's film theater showings) older woman . . . Baby Jane-- for some annoying reason I'm blanking on the title to this, one of my favorite films, with Bette Davis and Joan Crawford as aging stars High Hopes--Mike Leigh film with young couple dealing with home- bound mother(-in-law), among other things Carried Away--recent film starring Dennis Hopper and Amy Irving You might also look at the performance work of Rachel Rosenthal for some avant-gard work on aging. I'm not sure that she has anything on film, but her way of approaching the subject might nicely inform your work.
