Asian American Studies Program University of California, Davis FACULTY POSITION The Department of Dramatic Art and the Asian American Studies Program seek candidates for a full-time, nine-month, tenure-track faculty position with specialization in Asian Pacific American theatre and performance, cultural studies, film, feminist theory, and/or 20th century literature. Candidates should possess the doctorate of philosophy or equivalent degree. They should demonstrate a capacity for excellence in research and interdisciplinary teaching related to Asian Pacific American theatre and performance theory and criticism. Rank and salary will be commensurate with background and experience of candidate. The position will be 40% in the Asian American Studies Program and 60% in the Department of Dramatic Art. Faculty responsibilities begin fall 1997. The Asian American Studies Program is currently an autonomous, interdepartmental program in the College of Letters and Science with six faculty members. It expects to offer a major and courses which will contribute to the development of a more culturally diverse curriculum on campus.
