I don't know if you're interested in undergrad or grad, or film or video, east coast or west, but, here goes. I am a graduate student at Newhouse School of Public communications, at Syracuse University (in Syracuse NY) majoring in Television Radio Film production, and while my production classes tend to focus on telling a story, either in a narrative or a documentary form, I have implemented what amounts to "music video" in my projects, as well as learned to use digital editing. But, here is the good news, I've met other students, one, an undergrad, who started in Newhouse, but then switched to the Visual and Performing Arts Art Video department, I asked him what his focus was, and he said, "music videos, I just keep making music videos". Also, Newhouse has an excellent music recording class, which I am taking this summer......so, what ever approach might be right for you seems to be represented here in some form...which is probably more helpful if you're going for an undergraduate program, cause then you've got four years to play with, although, I feel like I'm getting good skills in my masters program. Good luck. ---- To signoff SCREEN-L, e-mail [log in to unmask] and put SIGNOFF SCREEN-L in the message. Problems? Contact [log in to unmask]
