The Louisiana Film Commission announces its second Screenwriter's Competition for feature screenwriters. The competition is open to all screenwriters and offers recognition and an opportunity for screenplays to be read by industry porfessionals. Submissions are being accepted through Friday, December 1, 1995. Cash prizes of $1,000 each will be awarded to the top three screenplays which will be announced in March. Submissions will be judged in a preliminary round by the Louisiana Film Commission and other designated represenitives. The (3) three top screen plays will then be determined by a panel of industry professionals. All screenplays can be returned after the competition. Louisiana screenwriter's Competition Rules are as Follows: 1. Screenplay's only of standard lenght and acceptable feature film length (100-125 pages) and format will be accepted. 2. No television pilots, episodes, specials, documentaries, game shows, storyboards, music videos, stroy treatments, story ideas, synopsis, memoirs, novels or short stories will be accepted 3. The competition is open to anyone. 4. Material cannot be pornographic. 5. Material may be based on an original idea or adaptation from another medium; however all adaptations must be accompanied by written proof of its first author's permission. 6.
