----------------------------Original message---------------------------- just a short coment: i find it interesting that graphic "sex" often earns a movie a higher mpaa ratings (i.e. "R" instead of "PG-13" or worse, in many cases "NC-17" instead of "R") than does graphic "violence"...... what is this telling the youth of america? [i am generalizing] That expressions of hate are okay to watch and learn by example from when one young, rather than expressions of love (if not gratuitous examples mind you), which one has to be an adult to understand? one wonders, by the argument the violent movies and tv are producing a more hatelful and vengeful society, that increased showing of graphic sex, would in turn, produce a more erotic and sexualized society? james goldschmidt
