----------------------------Original message---------------------------- Netters, G. Fuchs asked: Does anyone know if Sundance can be accessed by email or Gopher? If so, I'd appreciate getting the email address and/or Gopger server name/path. Thanks, Well, For those of you that wish to access WWW sites (HTTP://.....) with just a text interface, you may use the LYNX program. When there is an image, there will just be a text block that says image. I use it from home connected to the university computer with only a 2400 bps modem and it is quick and effective. If you do not have a way to use MOSAIC or NETSCAPE, connect to the South East Ohio Regional Free-Net via telnet, and then connect to the University of Kansas where you may use their LYNX Web program. There are many interesting connections there and the instructions are simple. The interface is not graphic, only text based, but you may access all the text information available on the Web servers. You may also connect via telnet to the info.funet.fi (Finland) or the basun.sunet.se (Sweden) server and choose www. seorf.ohiou.edu South East Ohio Regional Free-Net, login as guest Cheers, BERT ******************************************************************** * Bert Deivert Film Studies University of Karlstad * * E-Mail: [log in to unmask] Box 9501 S-651 88 Karlstad * * Voice: 46-54-83 81 06 SWEDEN * ********************************************************************
