>Dear Wolfgang,
>A good place to start is a book by a frequent _New Yorker_ contributor -
>unfortunately, I've forgotten her name - entitled _The Devil's Candy_. It's
>about the making of Brian DePalma's 'Bonfire of the Vanities.' It is a
>hugely entertaining and informative book and there is quite a bit written
>about the test screening processes and their influence on the final editorial
>process. It might be a good starting point from which to work your way into
>more technical research. Good Luck! S. McCarthy

Could this be the book by Judith Salamon who reviewd films for the Wall
Street Journal?
