THe Fund for American Studies sponsors the Engalitcheff Institute on Comparative Political and Economic Systems, the Institute on Political Jornalism, and the Bryce Harlow Institute on Business and Government. The Institute on Political Journalism give students the unique opportunity to combine theoretical and practical learning through academice study at Georgetown Univ., internships, site briefings, and guest lectures. The classes are designed introduce students to economic and ethical issues that are present in political journalism. In Economics and Public Policy, Professor Bradley Billings explores the basic economic priciples and methods essential to high quality journalism. In Ethics and the Media , I examine classcal ethical theory in relation to contemporary issues, and the immoral and moral uses of the mass media.IN addition, students have opportunity to intern in The Washington Post, Time Magazine, USA Today, ABC News Nightline, VOA, CNN,and etc..
