While Zettl and Utz say "Standard," I've found many more secondary
sources that say "System" (or "Systems"). More importantly, however,
something that comes about as close as one can get to a primary source in
this matter, the SMPTE JOURNAL, says "System" in an article reprinted in
the NAB ENGINEERING HANDBOOK (7th Edition, p. 7.1-52). I would also
consider the NAB itself as a more credible source than some of the
textbook authors.
