DOCUMENTARY BOX, the newsletter of the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival, is looking for individuals who can write on recent developments in national documentary cinemas. DOCUMENTARY BOX is published in English and Jap anese and is distributed world-wide to individuals and institutions interested in documentary cinema. The pieces we publish are directed at a general, non- scholary but educated audience. They tend to be short (less than ten pages, d ouble spaced) and are paid for. DOCUMENTARY BOX has so far published articles introducing the documentary cine mas of such nations as China, France, England, Korea and Japan, but we are int erested in publishing other pieces addressing recent developments in nations o r regions we have not covered so far. This includes, in particular, Africa, E astern Europe, South and Southeast Asia, the Middle East and North America, bu t we always looking for any article discussing new developments in world docum entary cinema. THIS IS NOT A CALL FOR PAPERS. Right now we are only interested in gathering the names of individuals who are capable of writing such articles so that we c an plan our future issues. If you are interested, or know of someone who is, please send your name, address, phone number (fax number), and e-mail address to us by either e-mail, fax, or mail. If possible, please also send a one-pag e summary of your qualifications and what you would be interested in writing o n.
