($16.95 in paper) Mr. Connor kindly has a chaper called "Postmodern TV, Video, and Film," which lists some characteristics of the pomo film (in common with other pomo fields such as architecture, literature, art) and some films that exhibit the characteristics, such as: 1. the nostalgia or "retro" film: American Graffiti, Star Wars, Chinatown, and Body Heat. 2. different forms of pastiche or stylistic multiplicity: Kiss of the Spider Woman, Brazil, Star Wars, Diva. 3. the erasure of the historical boundaries between high and low culture: Blade Runner, True Stories, The Draughtsman's Contract. ...and more. it might be worth a look-see.
