Almost any film noir will do -- and for reading, a brief selection from
Gerald Mast's MOVIES IN OUR MIDST, which reproduces various documents from
the period, including transcripts from some of the HUAC sessions. If this
is too much of a stretch, Emile de Antonio can come to the rescue...
