>Does anyone remember a cartoon show called KIMBA THE WHITE LION ? It >dates from the early or mid 1970's, and, I think, the work of Japanese >animators. I can barely remember it and would appreciate it if some of >you could provide info. to jog my memory or know anything about its >availability on cable or on video. With renewed interest in such shows >as SPEED RACER and ULTRAMAN, I figure that KIMBA has to be out there >somewhere. While I don't have the information on Kimba right at hand, I do know that it is available on video (that or I was seeing bootlegs). Try Dicken's video at 1-800-228-4246 or your local Japanese Animation store (look in the yellow pages on comic books--frequently there will be a store that specializes in Japanese comics and anime). If you still can't find anything on Kimba and you have access to USENET news post to the anime newsgroups your request. If all else fails I can try calling around to some anime fan clubs for you. Kimba is considered a "warm fuzzy" anime series so many anime lovers don't care for it (instead prefering such horrors as "Fist of the Northstar"). Be prepared for some derrision when asking about it at various clubs or stores.
