Hey there, SCREEN-Litarians!

We've made it to the NEW YORK TIMES. Sorta.

SCREEN-L member Henry Jenkins is quoted in the 1 December 1992 edition
of THE TIMES, in an article on electronic bulletin boards: "Computer
Networks Foster Cultural Chatting for Modem Times" (note cute pun on
"modem"/"modern").

Says Henry, "It (a computer net) is a very elaborate writing community
creating its own texts. All of these groups are forming around cultural
preferences and building an identity through their participation in an
electronic community."

Indeed we are!

If no one seems to understand
Start your own revolution, cut out the middleman
In a perfect world we'd all sing in tune
But this is reality so give me some room
So join the struggle while you may
The Revolution is just a t-shirt away
Waiting for the Great Leap Forwards
