From the publicity flyer: CINEFOCUS is the first American journal to specialize in the silent cinema. In addition to articles dealing with a specific historical or theoretical topic related tofilms before 1935, it includes contributions on areas of interest from all periods of filmmaking. Each issue will conclude with "Film Notes and Queries," a forum for debate and discussion of the articles in CINEFOCUS and for addressing general critical concerns related to film and its audiences.
