The inaugural 2017 conference – hosted by EAFIT University in Colombia – seeks to map emerging understandings of transmediality and global convergence cultures, and includes speakers from the USA, Italy, China, Brazil, Turkey, Argentina, Colombia, Russia, UK, Ireland, Australia, Mexico, Spain, Portugal, France, Panama and Estonia. Featuring a mix of international keynote speakers and roundtables, there will be panels devoted to: Transmedia Creation and Design: Transmedia Audiences and Fandoms; Transmedia Practices, Platforms and Genres; and Transmedia Literacies and Education.
