My colleague Prof. Steven P. Hill, who posted here both inquiries and responses to queries, passed away a few days ago. He taught Russian and East European cinema in the Slavic Department at the University of Illinois, interviewed Russian film pioneers for Film Culture in the 1970s, and passing of Steven was also instrumental in getting the University of Illinois film archive started back in the 1960s. Here are an obituary and a memorial article: <http://www.news-gazette.com/obituaries/2010-06-27/steven-hill.html>. <http://www.news-gazette.com/news/people/2010-06-30/life-remembered-ui-professor-languages-also-master-film.html> Richard J.
