To all who submitted their replies, I am truly grateful. To Mr. Schultz and S.A. Haynes in particular, thank you for your help in clarifying the concept of mise en scene. I had long been only aware of mise en scene as lengthy, un-cut shots within which the shot composition changes drastically (perhaps the best examples is the tracking shot of the city woman in Murnau's Sunrise). Thank you for reminding me of the vaster implications of Mise en Scene, which allowed me to view all of the suggestions with better-informed eyes. Again, many thanks! -- Cathlene Bell-Dumas Student, Felician College Communications (Film/Video Production), Global Peace & Justice Studies [log in to unmask] ---- To sign off Screen-L, e-mail [log in to unmask] and put SIGNOFF Screen-L in the message.
