Hi Heather: Your student should certainly check out the L. Jeffrey Selznick School of Film Preservation at George Eastman House in Rochester, NY. The URL for their web-site is: http://www.eastman.org/16_preserv/16_index.html This is considered the best school (if not the only school) of its sort in the US, maybe the world. I've known a number of the students there, and they seem very happy with the education they're getting in film preservation. Moreover, they seem to be finding jobs in the field upon graduation.
