The Department of Radio-Television-Film at the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor (tenure-track) specializing in film, media, and cultural studies in South Asia (India, Burma, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, etc.) beginning Fall of 2003. Applicants should have completed the Ph.D. and should be able to teach, conduct research, and supervise graduate students in one or more of the following areas: history and analysis of Indian/South Asian cinema; Indian/South Asian Radio, Satellite and Television Broadcasting; South Asian Culture and Society.
