How about Vladimir Nizhny's Lessons with Eisenstein? Nizhny was a student of Eisenstein's and talks in valuable detail about how Eisenstein worked over his classes in search of the right dramatic and cinematic "solution" posed by a scene. I haven't seen the earlier messages in this thread, so apologies if I'm being redundant. The references to acting are scattered throughout, but make connections between film and stage acting as well as suggesting principles for screen acting. I seem to remember Hugo Munsterberg's "Psychology of the Photoplay" also discusses film acting in relation to stage acting, but I can't seem to find it to be sure, and I may be remembering Bela Belazs' text instead.
