In cooperation with the Regional Film Center, Film i Värmland, Karlstad University is hosting the first international conference dedicated to the films of Gunvor Nelson, one of the central figures in the avant-garde film movement that emerged in the Bay Area in the 60 ’s. The event includes a retrospective of Gunvor Nelson ’s films and a series of talks aimed at examining both her films and her own historical and con- temporary contexts.
