One of the later episodes of _The Nanny_ has a self-reflexive bit when the character Ceci (who is actually pregnant) talks about how absurd it is that television sitcoms (I think she refers directly to Seinfeld) try to cover pregnant women with props and extra large clothing so as to keep the pregnancy from the narrative. She is, as part of the sketch, wearing oversized clothing and covering her stomach with flower pots and other props. At one point she parades into the office carrying a large poster that advertises the Broadway musical, _Baby_.
