BIEDENHARN CHAIR IN COMMUNICATION
Centenary College of Louisiana, a private, select,
liberal arts college, invites applications for the R.
Z. Biedenharn Eminent Scholars Chair in Communication
for fall 2000. Founded in 1825, Centenary is a member
of the Associated Colleges of the South. The College
enjoys a student/faculty ratio of 12/1 and a $100 million endowment.
Candidates should have an M.F.A. or a Ph.D. and a
distinguished professional record in one or more of
the following areas: new media/digital arts; R/TV
broadcasting; film and video production. The ideal
candidate will be an excellent teacher with a
commitment to the principles of a liberal arts
education. Duties include teaching and coordinating
an interdisciplinary program in communication that
primarily involves the departments of Art, English,
and Theater/Speech.
