Call For Entries for The Sixth Annual Chicago Underground Film Festival

The Festival For All The Brothers And Sisters Who've Had Enough Of The Man

The Sixth Annual Chicago Underground Film Festival is accepting submissions
now through May 15, 1999. The Festival will take place August 13-19 at The
Village Theater, 1548 North Clark Street. Since 1994, CUFF has showcased the
defiantly independent filmmaker. Earning its reputation as "The biggest and
best of the subterranean screen-events" (Peter Hall, New York Independent
Film Monitor), and "The most refreshingly offbeat film event in Chicago"
(Adam Langer, The Film Festival Guide) to become "A cultural mainstay on its
home turf" (Ray Pride, Filmmaker Magazine). We exist to promote works that
dissent radically in form, technique or content from the mainstream of
"Indie" filmmaking and present new and daring voices in film and video.
Films in all formats (35mm, 16mm and Super8) as well as videos are eligible.
Cash prizes are awarded in six categories: Feature, Short, Experimental,
Documentary, Animation and Audience Choice. Entry Fee is $30.00 per
submission. To receive entry forms contact the festival at 773.327.FILM,
