My Film Friends--

The death of Gene Siskel is a real tragedy for us
all--he was a man of great integrity, intellect and
passion.

When I was growing up in a small town in central
Georgia, he, along with Roger Ebert, presented me
with challenging ideas about the movies and
entertainment. He will be sorely missed.
