FILM FESTIVALS
100 Years Of American Indians In Film
http://www.unat.org/actors/index.html
List your regional and international film festival with the United Native -
Aboriginal Film and Video Committee of UNAT to have your film festival
announced to the Native Alaska/American and Aboriginal Canadian and
South/Central American native film making communities. Please Support
American Indians (NA), and Aboriginal Canadians in film and dramatic arts,
and in Educational Documentary by registering your film festival to call
for entries, and to keep up to date on the definition of "American Indian
and Aboriginal Film" vs. the "Subject" of same. Please understand that
"Native Subject" or "American Indian Genre" or "Theme" does not make for a
Native or Aboriginal film, segment for festival. "Native" American or
"Aboriginal" or even "American Indian" refers to the people involved in the
making, representation/perspective, and in the content of the film. Because
there is no criteria by any "official" organization regarding guidelines
for identifying Native film. We ask that you book mark and refer to this
page, as well as inquire on the professional Native-Aboriginal
Communications Email Listservs [log in to unmask] Film by the
Indigenous Peoples of the Americas (American Indians-Aboriginal Canadians)
remain the most rapid growing contribution of artistic and cultural
importance. Therefore the authenticity of the film and videos and the
identification of creation is of vital importance to the world artistic and
motion Picture community as a whole.

It doesn't bother me and I suggest that if it bothers you
- that's why God (or Bill Gates)
gave us a delete key. (David NL Day)
