I am attempting to help a friend do some research on a woman
who once appeared in a British silent film in 1916. To make
matters more difficult, all we know is that Mary Bruce,
daughter of a wealthy Englishman and his Shakespearean
actress wife, appeared in at least one film in 1916--we
don't know the title or what role she played or who produced
the film. Aggh.
 
I've looked in the IMDb, and found a "Mary Bruce" who
appeared once in a silent feature called THE CROW'S NEST
(1922), but I don't think she's the same person.
