Whether you're an artist, activist or inspired amateur, VISIONS of
U.S. is a serios opportunity to get you recognized. One Grand Prize
will be selected from all entries.
Submissions are invited in five categories: FICTION, using video to
tell a story; NON-FICTION,
creating your own documentary; EXPERIMETAL/MUSIC VIDEO, taking the
a video medium to its creative limits or integrating it with an original score
or previously published music (with written permission);
YOUNG PEOPLE, any subject produced by an entrant
seventee years of age or younger; and the newly added category
COMEDY, creating a video that has a comedic point of view or original
comedic acting.
 
Choose any home video format to create and communicate your vision:
8mm, Hi8, VHS-C, VHS, S-VHS or Digital Video (DV);
however,interformat editing is allowed. Entries must be originally
produced and we recommend that they not exceed 20 minutes in length.
The quality of performaces and technical execution will be a
consideration in judging, but originality will be the most important
factor. Top professionals will be the judges, but the winners will
be creative individuals like you - and lke previous VISIONS OF U.S.
winners who haave gone on to successful careers in film and the TV
industry. You have until June 15, 1998 to submit your entry... so
start planning today, because could be your year to win!
 
Enter Now! The world's premiere home video contest give you a new
opprtunity to express your creativity! Sony invites you express your
vision- on 8mm,VHS, or Digital Vidoe (DV) home video- then submit your
entry by June 15, 1998, for judging administered by the American Film
