I have to say I don't laugh when Herrmann shows up in the Hitchcock.
There may be a chuckle a few shots earlier when, outside the Royal Albert
Hall, his appearance is signalled in a poster advertising tonight's
concert---I mean, "tonight's concert"---but, having seen the poster, we
can hardly find anything either surprising or comedic about his
appearance "on cue."
