Additional programs with gay characters:

Veronica's Closet
LA Law
NYPD Blue
Fame (or was that just the film?)
Fame LA

Did anyone mention Ellen? I missed the original post.

I believe already mentioned were:
Soap (Jody and his football player lover)
Melrose Place (Matt)
Love, Sidney (Sidney)
Friends (Ross's wife and lover)
Roseanne (multiple)
Mad About You (Paul's sister and lover)

What was the sitcom that boasted a gay wedding a couple of years back?

And on a short-lived ABC drama about a suburban wasp girl and urban
jewish boy in love (starring the daughter from the Father of the Bride
series), the boy's sister was gay. I don't recall the name.

Shows with episodes involving gay characters:
Frasier
Caroline in the City
Barney Miller
Seinfeld

Shari
