The Department of Radio, Television and Film at the University of
North Texas is seeking candidates for a position as a tenure track
Assistant Professor to begin September 1, 1998.  A PhD in an
appropriate field and evidence of a potential for scholarly research
or creative activities in the field is required.  Responsibilities
include: teaching, research or creative activities, and service,
including contributing to the graduate program in an area of
specialty.  Candidates should be able to demonstrate teaching and/or
research/creative strengths in the following areas: film and
television criticism, film and television history and historiography,
and gender, race, and ethnicity in film and television.  Send letter

begin February 1, 1998 but will continue until the position is filled.
