Film Maker:
Teneur/tenure tarck position (assistant/associate professor), fall,
1998. We need an independent film maker who has creative abilities in
film production, analysis, and interpretation.this person will teach
intermediate, advanced, and graduate film production as well as
courses in interpretation and theory. Candidate must be able to teach
16mm production, but ideally would also have a varied media
production background, including interests in video and knowledge
of audio and digital systems. Candidate should have a strong
exhibition record, a commitment to the social role of media, and an
understanding of the various theoretical and historical discourses
which surround her/his practice. This person will have the
opportunity to shape interdisciplinary graduate and undergraduate
programs and to develop the department's equipment architecture in the
new Center for the Arts. MFA or equivalent preferred and creative
excellence essential. Rank salary commensurate with qualifications
and experience. Two semester courses per semester load. Women and
