UCLA's Film and Television Archive Research and Study Center has launched
the "Scary Women" website. Please join us for a discussion of monstrous
women in popular culture at the following address:

http://www.cinema.ucla.edu/women/

The site currently contains papers by Vivian Sobchack on aging women in
low-budget films from the 1950s, including "Attack of the 50 Foot Woman,"
"The Wasp Woman," and "The Leech Woman" and by Gabriela Schalow Adler on the
legend of Lizzie Borden. On August 7th, we will add a paper by Barbara
Creed on monstrous little girls in Hollywood films from "The Bad Seed" to
"The Exorcist."
