for a colleague, i am seeking suggested films/novels (especially, but not
exclusively: minority &/or appropriate for high school level) featuring the
kind of embedded narratives in which a character within the work
narrates a separate narrative (e.g., amy tan's _kitchen god's wife_).

such framed tales as most of _the piazza tales_, or _heart of darkness_ or
_turn of the screw_ okay, but better are those in which the embedded tale
does not in effect become the main narrative.

many thanks, and apologize for inevitable corss-posting.
