Louis Malle's 1989 film _Milou en mai_ is a sprightly look at the events of
1968.
_Stolen Kisses_ was filmed DURING the May 68 turmoil. Truffaut spent the
mornings working to organize protests on the closing of the cinematheque
(an admittedly tangential part of the "uprisings), etc. and the afternoons
filming. This gives his film a more than usual casualness and improvisatory
feel. In an odd and oblique kind of way it can be "read" as a film "about"
the turmoil.
