EXCELSIOR HOTEL -- While the winners at this
year's Mostra won't be known (officially) until 7 this
evening, eight of Italy's most influential film
                    critics have
alreay begun to pontificate. Among the films to be
crowned, they predict, will be Abel Ferrara's "The
Funeral," Jean-Luc Godard's "Forever Mozart," Neil
                    Jordan's "Michael Collins," and Ken Loach's "Carla's
Song." Barry Levinson's "Sleepers" (out of
competition) divided those polled, with two critics
judging it the worst film of the festival. -- G.L. & R.K
