I didn't see the original post but there was a wonderful depiction of a
screenwriter on the show "Frank's Place." The show takes place in a New
Orleans bar and one episode focused around a film being shot in the bar.
There was a guy who kept showing up and being shooed off the set. Finally, at
the end of the show, someone asks who that guy was and they say something to
he effect of, "Oh he's just the writer."
