I'd like to support David Desser's insightful comments on the whole BLADE
RUNNER issue and suggest some significant additions to the Screen-L
guidelines.
  1. No major film should be discussed on this network unless the
participants show familiarity with the previous literature available on
the film and state (with reference to this material) how their interpretation
 differs from others commonly available.
   2. The moderator should distinguish genuine enquiries and discussions
from those mailings by students who wish contributors to write their
      papers for them.
If such requirements are followed, then SCREEN-L will distinguish itself
from other gossip lists readily available for those wanting a more
    informal and less academic approach.
