Depp is suffering from Brandoitus, the need to be like Marlon Brando.  He
keeps himself out of the public eye, broods a great deal, and is
eccentric.
 
My diagnosis was confirmed in the Dec 1995 issue of PLAYBOY.  In that
interview he said he was thinking of" buying an island."
 
Personally, I lke Depp, but enough is enough.  He seems to be
appologizing for either his looks, money, or talent by staying grundgy and
pretending he is working class.  I believe his behavior comes from hearing
someone tell him he was "brilliant" one time too many.  (Need other
examples? Try Michael Jackson, Madonna, Stephen King, Eddie Murphy, Bruce
Willis, and the like.)
