The Empire State Exhibitions International Independent Film Fesitival
was formed as an answer and alternative to the over-commercialization
of venues currently exhibiting the work of independent filmmakers.
Finding it unsettling and unfair that true low budget films are
forced to compete against work that is for all intent and purposes
big budget, we have created a forum to foster the work of independent
film makers who do not have the good forture of endless financial
resources.

The festival will be held from August 23-31, in the Empire State
Theatre, at the New York State Fair.

ESE will consider films in the following categories: 1) Dramatic
Feature, 2) Dramatic Short, 3) Documentary Feature, 4) Documentary
Short, 5) Animation, 6) Experimental.

All submissions must be made available for Festival presentation in
16mm or 35mm "composite" condition with soundtrack and titles
included.

The deadline for all film submissions is June 28, 1996
