Depending on your personal tastes, I could suggest two whom
I think would be interesting to apply this theory to:
Chuck Jones and Quentin Tarantino.
Granted, Tarantino has not directed many films, but he
has a definite style, and has quite a lot written about
him that you could use as reference material. Jones on
the other hand, has quite a body of work to review, but
has been written about less, at least proportionally.
Let us know how it turns out...
